And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:13-14
I have been thinking about these verses quite a bit lately. The children of Israel were facing disaster. They were chased by the Egyptians all the way to the Red Sea, and they thought it was all over. But God told them to be still and see the power and salvation of the Lord. I think that is where we all are right now. It seems there is no way out and we are up against a formidable enemy, but God is saying to you and I, "Be still and see the salvation of the Lord."
The “Egyptians” can be cancer, finances, relationships, jobs, prodigals or anything else. We have to trust and be still and wait on the Lord. I am praying that today the Lord will reveal Himself to you in a very personal way and that He will comfort you in your affliction. Be still and feel His presence.
