Invitation Letter

September 14, 2020

Hello Living Word Family,

We will again be resuming morning services, so we want to update you on our plans. We will still be taking reasonable precautions to minimize health risk, reduce church liability, and maintain a strong testimony to our community. We all come from different perspectives, so we all need to show grace to others who may differ in their plans to return.

We plan to resume an indoor morning service on Sunday, September 20, 2020.

Schedule of Sunday Services
  • 10am – Indoor Service (with live stream)
  • Wednesday Bible Study-7pm and will remain “Online” only for the time being

We will be observing the following guidelines.

Communication
  • Continue to check our church website at  www.calvarylivingword.org as well as social media pages, and email messages to stay informed on the reopening process. If you are not already on the church email prayer chain, call or email the office to get connected.
  • Office Phone:  949-222-0591
  • Office Email: livingword@calvarylivingword.org

Basic Considerations
  • Do not attend church if… you do not feel well, if you show symptoms of any illness or if you have been exposed to someone with Covid-19 virus in the past 14 days
  • For those in the “higher risk” category, the decision to attend is between you and the Lord, but feel no pressure to return before you are comfortable… online options will continue
  • The next two requests may be controversial to some, but out of respect for others and to reduce church liability…
    • State & County regulations still require that face coverings be worn indoors and if you cannot maintain a 6-foot social distance (except for children 2 and under).
    • Please try your best to refrain from hugging, handshaking, or similar physical contact
  • Remember the basics
    • Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
    • Hand sanitizer will be provided… use it often
    • Follow the 6ft social distancing guidelines
    • Cover coughs & sneezes with tissue
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

Format of Services
  • Children’s ministry will be available at both Sunday services, but parents are also welcome to bring kids into the service with them if they are more comfortable with this option (for infants, use the “Cry Room” or other designated room)
  • High School & Jr High classes will be meeting in their respective rooms with social distancing protocols in place.
  • Enter the services through the double glass doors nearest the church office (southwest corner of building) - not through the Fellowship Hall. Ushers will direct you to the sanctuary and will help with seating.
  • The sanctuary seating has been greatly reduced, so please arrive on time to assure yourselves of a seat.
  • Family units may sit together, but others should leave empty chairs to allow for the 6ft distancing.
  • So sad, so sorry… there will be no coffee or donuts for the time being.
  • The drinking fountain will be disabled, so please bring your own water if desired.
  • Use restrooms if you need to, but try to minimize use.
  • Offering deposit boxes will be provided, but we will not be “passing the plate”. Online giving or mailing a check are still good choices.

Other Notes
  • The church cleaning teams will clean and disinfect prior to Sunday services, but we must rely on each person in attendance to assist with practicing good hygiene and cleaning up after themselves.
